چکیده
Interturn short circuit (ITSC) fault is a common in electric machines, which may severely damage the machines if no protective measure taken time. There are numerous diagnosis methods under steady-state condition. However, there relatively limited research on dynamic conditions. The operation of motors, such as cars, very scenario. Hence, this paper proposes search-coil based online method for detecting ITSC permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) search coils placed stator circumference at equal intervals. Each coil reflects information about magnetic field its vicinity and also contains information. In paper, voltage induced by odd sideband harmonics around even carrier (2ωc±ω0) selected characteristic to be used effectively improving detected signal-to-noise ratio excluding interference counter-potential magnet. Since two adjacent one pole apart, set quadrature signals can acquired. Digital Lock-In Amplifier (DLIA) technology applied extract amplitude voltage, overcomes shortcomings traditional spectrum analysis applying non-stationary amplitudes different compared further determine occurrence rough location occurred. Experiments were conducted with six-phase PMSM demonstrating effectiveness proposed method. obtained results show that accurately fault.

Statistic-based Spectral Indicator for Bearing Fault Detection in Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Machines using the Stator Current
In this paper, an original method for bearing fault detection in high speed synchronous machines is presented. This method is based on the statistical process of Welch's periodogram of the stator currents in order to obtain stable and normalized fault indicators. The principle of the method is to statistically compare the current spectrum to a healthy reference so as to quantify the changes ove...

Among the different geometrical parameters to be chosen during design of axial flux permanent magnet synchronous machines, the width of the stator slot openings near the air gap is an important parameter: it has a major influence on the power loss in the stator core and in the permanent magnets on the two rotors of the studied type of axial flux machines. Moreover, the stator slot openings para...

This paper proposes a parametric model for inter-turn fault detection in a faulttolerant permanent-magnet (FTPM) machine, which can predict the effect of the shortcircuit fault to various physical quantity of the machine. For different faulty operations, a new effective stator inter-turn fault detection method is proposed. Finally, simulations of vector-controlled FTPM machine drives are given ...
